Cookie Policy

We use cookies to keep the site running and, if you agree to it, to understand how visitors use our pages so we can improve them. Analytics is off until you accept it: nothing is loaded and no analytics cookie is set unless you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites, and we do not use them for advertising.

• Strictly necessary - required for the site to work, such as keeping you signed in to a part of the site that needs a login. These are always set.
• Spam protection - Google reCAPTCHA, which checks that a contact form is being sent by a person. It loads only once you start filling in a form, and Google may set its own cookie (“_GRECAPTCHA”) to do that check. It is part of sending the form, so it is not covered by the analytics choice in the cookie banner.
• Analytics - Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies named “_ga” and “_ga_<id>” to count visits and see which pages are read. Alongside them we remember in your browser how you first arrived (the referring site and any campaign tags), for up to 90 days, so that an enquiry you send can tell us which channel brought you. All of this is set only after you choose “Accept”, and declining removes it.

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 runs on this site and Google sets those cookies under its own privacy policy. Our current sub-processor list is available on request through the contact form.

The cookie banner asks once and remembers your answer in your browser, so it will not ask again on this device - including when you decline. To change your answer at any time, use “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page, and the banner will ask again. If you decline after having accepted, analytics stops and we delete its cookies from your browser. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal - Brave does by default, and Firefox and DuckDuckGo can - we treat that as a refusal and will not ask you at all. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site works.

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will reflect the latest change.
