Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Red Vault uses cookies and similar technologies on our website - what they are, the cookies we set, and how you can manage them.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and provide reporting information.

Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called “first-party cookies”. Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called “third-party cookies”.

How we use cookies

We use cookies to keep the site running and, if you agree to it, to understand how visitors use our pages so we can improve them. Analytics is off until you accept it: nothing is loaded and no analytics cookie is set unless you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites, and we do not use them for advertising.

Types of cookies we set

  • Strictly necessary - required for the site to work, such as keeping you signed in to a part of the site that needs a login. These are always set.
  • Analytics - Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies named “_ga” and “_ga_<id>” to count visits and see which pages are read. These are set only after you choose “Accept”.

Third-party services

If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 runs on this site and Google sets those cookies under its own privacy policy. Our current sub-processor list is available on request - email contact@redvault.co.uk.

Managing cookies

The cookie banner asks once and remembers your answer in your browser, so it will not ask again on this device - including when you decline. To change your answer at any time, use “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page, and the banner will ask again. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal - Brave does by default, and Firefox and DuckDuckGo can - we treat that as a refusal and will not ask you at all. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site works.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will reflect the latest change.
